Greetings, dear visitor! I am Sophia Sonja Guthier, was born in Karlsruhe, lived for some time in Middle Franconia and have now been a happy Mainz resident for over 6 years. Since the beginning of my studies, I have been moving between (Eastern European) history and political science. That's why I was a research assistant in political science at the University of Koblenz-Landau after completing a master's degree in history.
I am currently working on my dissertation in Eastern European History at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. I am mainly responsible for the Eastern European and contemporary history content here.
Hello! I am the administrator of this site and therefore responsible for every single, certainly totally unfair question. Briefly about myself: My name is Simeon Guthier (alias Simeon Pfeiffer). I come from the beautiful West Palatinate and studied history in Mainz. I am currently working diligently on my dissertation on wine history.
I am also a quiz lover. So, together with my wife, I recently noticed that there is still no good site at all for historical quizzes (plural) on the German internet. Since I have always been caught between the fronts of historical sources and virtual servers, I decided in 2020 (for future readers: In this year we humans all sat around at home a lot) thus started this little website as a hobby.
Suggestions, complaints and hints of any kind are welcome.
